Rachel Coghlan

Rachel is a public health professional with 20 years post-qualification experience in clinical practice and international public health research, policy and advocacy. She is undertaking a PhD at the Centre for Humanitarian Leadership, Deakin University. Her research focuses on the integration of palliative care in humanitarian responses within conflict settings. Rachel is a member of the Palliative Care in Humanitarian Aid Situations and Emergencies Network (PalCHASE) and she is on the Executive Committee of the Australasian Palliative Link International (APLI). Rachel has practiced as a physiotherapist in neurological rehabilitation and palliative care in Australia and the United Kingdom. She has held senior health policy and research roles within large international development and humanitarian organisations including World Vision, Save the Children and The Fred Hollows Foundation.
